There is something magically nostalgic about a stone house, sitting picturesquely on top of a hill or surrounded by a small forest. If you love the look of stone exterior home facades or cozy stone fireplaces, it's a look that's closer to your reach than you might think. You're probably seeing more and more of a newer type of fake stone called manufactured veneer stone, this unless you live in a traditional locale with old buildings, where real stone is the norm. This type of stone veneer can be added in a place where you need rich texture, solidity and timeless beauty. Stone veneers are a versatile building product. Since they are substantially lighter, they can be used in applications that would not support the weight of natural stone, including your home’s entire exterior. At Patagonia Building Supplies we have a large variety of stone veneers that you can choose from.

First off, we offer ledge panels. These are trimmed pieces of real stone, fixed together to form modular interlocking panels. This allows for a fast and efficient installation of a beautiful dry stacked stone veneer. This material comes in many sizes, shapes and colors and it adds warmth and character to both inside and outside your home, while looking natural and charming.

The second stone veneer material we stock is ledger veneer, which provides a modern look using the “edge grain” of the stone. Unlike the face of the stone, the edge grain provides a textured surface revealing the inside of the natural stone. This material varies in length and height and it is commonly used for a backsplash in a kitchen, columns or posts, and small fireplaces.

And last but not least, at Patagonia Building Supplies you will find natural thin stone veneer. This material is often used as a protective or decorative covering for interior and exterior walls. The stone commonly cut to 1” thick making it ideal for siding, fireplaces, and chimneys. This stone is more durable and will last longer, produces less waste than faux stone, and offers a natural “look” that often can’t be matched.
